Terms of Service
Last updated: March 7, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Accessibility Scanner EU ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Accessibility Scanner EU provides automated accessibility scanning of publicly accessible web pages using axe-core and Playwright. The Service produces a score and a list of detected issues based on a subset of WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.
3. No Legal or Compliance Guarantee
The Service performs automated checks that cover approximately 30–50% of WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. Scan results do not constitute a legal assessment of compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), EN 301 549, or any other regulation. A passing score does not guarantee full accessibility or legal compliance. You should consult qualified accessibility experts for a comprehensive audit.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only to scan web pages you own or have authorization to test. You must not:
- Use the Service to disrupt or overload target websites
- Attempt to scan non-public or authenticated pages
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service infrastructure
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is the property of Accessibility Scanner EU. Scan results generated for your URLs belong to you.
6. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accessibility Scanner EU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on scan results for compliance decisions.
7. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this page.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable national law of the service provider's jurisdiction.
